Boeing has appointed Henok Teferra as its managing director for Boeing Africa, headquartered in Addis Abeba .
With post graduate degree in international economic law from the University of Paris, Henok's stint of operations in the aviation sector for over a decade were interrupted when he was appointed as Ethiopia's Ambassador to France, Spain, Portugal and Monaco. His recent departure from Safaricom Ethiopia's Chief External Affairs was attributed to "personal matters that needed his attention."
But he returned to the corporate scene in about a month assuming a position which entails boosting the Company’s operations across the continent. Ethiopian Airlines Group, his former employer, is one of the largest customers of Being, the aircraft manufacturer.
