Jembernesh Kinfe (left), deputy chairman of the Environment Protection Standing Committee, Sileshe Bekele (PhD), minister of Water, Irrigation & Electricity, and Roman Gebreselassie, head for the Office of the National Public Participation Council for the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, met at parliament during the first quarter report by the Ministry on December 29, 2018. It was announced that the GERD, previously said to have reached 65pc completion rate, was at 63pc.
