World Bank President Ajay Banga visits Bole Lemi Industrial Park to "observe" the opportunities and challenges Ethiopia faces in the economic sector while focusing on local and value-added manufacturing.
The WB President met with officials including Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) yesterday.
His visit with a particular focus on job opportunities for youth and women was highlighted by a visit to the malt and textile factories.
Ajay admired the advances made in agriculture and industrial parks considering the natural and political challenges Ethiopia has been through in the past three years although "the challenges of debt servicing are still apparent."
"We are not here to negotiate anything," he said.
