Her career includes a tenure as a lecturer at Addis Abeba University School of Law, a role as a senior policy researcher at the Prime Minister's Office, and a position as Deputy Commissioner of the Ethiopian Investment Commission under Abebe Abebayehu.
Hanna's appointment is seen as a step in Ethiopia's efforts to attract foreign investments, leveraging her extensive experience and leadership abilities, according to Abebe, who acknowledged her appointment, praising her intelligence and commitment to public service.
"She is exceptionally intelligent," he told Fortune. "Her commitment and dedication to public service knows no bounds."
