Parliament Reconfirms Tagesse Chafo House Speaker. Legislators have elected Tagesse Chafo as Speaker of the Parliament. Six members of parliaments have abstained from the vote while 419 voted in favour. Tagesse has held the same office since October 2018, succeeding Muferiat Kamil, who is a minister of Peace.
