Former Amhara Region President Named Upper House Speaker
Agegnehu Teshager, former president of Amhara Regional State, has been named speaker of parliament's upper house.
Agegnehu had served as President of Ethiopia's second most populous region for 11 months before being replaced by Yilkal Kefale (PhD) last week.
Zahara Umed has been appointed as his deputy, unanimously.
