The Ministry of Agriculture reported earnings of more than two billion dollars in the first half of the fiscal year, surpassing the planned 1.9 billion dollars. The ministry had aimed to purchase 23 million quintals of fertiliser but procured 14 million quintals, distributing 5.2 million quintals to regional administrations without delay, ensuring timely support for the 2025/26 harvest season, Minister Addisu Arega said. Key achievements include artificial insemination of 2.7 million cattle, distribution of over 70 million one-day-old chicks, and preparation of 3.7 billion seedlings for the Green Footprint Program, approaching the five-billion-seedling target.
