The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia(CBE), has announced a record-breaking 515 billion Br in new deposits during the 2024/25 fiscal year, pushing its total deposits to 1.69 trillion Br. In a message shared with customers and staff, the bank’s leadership attributed the milestone to the trust of clients, the strategic direction of the board, and the commitment of employees at all levels. The achievement, hailed as historic, is seen as a testament to the institution’s resilience, customer-first approach, and cohesive teamwork. Gold Prices Ease After Recent Surge

The price of gold, which surged sharply in recent weeks, has started to decline in the current selling market. Over the past 15 days, 21-carat gold has traded between 24,000 and 25,000 Br per gram for imported products and around 21,000 Br for local gold.
