The Land Development and Administration Bureau said it has disbursed 15.5 billion Br in compensation to property owners displaced by urban redevelopment projects across the city during the current fiscal year. The announcement was made during the Bureau’s annual performance review chaired by Bureau Head Kassahun Alemu and Finance Directorate Director Tamiru Mosisa. Speaking to branch directors, Tamiru called on all offices to make full use of the remaining days of the fiscal year to close annual accounts on schedule and avoid the budget-closing delays recorded in 2024/25. To improve efficiency and reduce service delays, the Bureau is also rolling out the second phase of its technology modernisation strategy. Kassahun noted that fully shifting land administration services to digital platforms is expected to reshape the institution into a more efficient and competitive system.
