CBE Pledges 500m Birr for Sheger Project

first-segment-park-project The state owned Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) has committed half a billion Birr to finance 'Sheger Beautifying Project', a three-year initiative that aspires to make the capital "greener and cleaner".

The project aims to revitalise the 56Km river and its banks that crosses Addis Abeba from Entoto to Aba Samuel River in Aqaqi Qality District with an estimated investment of 29 billion Br.

Last week, ethio telecom and its employees pledged 180 million Br for the project. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) will also host a fundraising dinner at his office on May 19 to finance the project.
