Capital Authority Grants Investment Advisor License to BDO Consulting Plc

The Ethiopian Capital Market Authority (ECMA) has issued a license to BDO Consulting Plc to operate as an investment advisor under the BDO brand.

The investment advisory service will be spearheaded by Million Kibret, who serves as the managing partner of BDO in Ethiopia. The company was established with a paid-up capital of 33 million Br.

Million studied accounting and finance and graduated as a Welch Scholar from the Jack Welch Management Institute (USA). He brings over 30 years of extensive experience in auditing and professional services, having previously held positions as a manager at Ernst & Young and as managing partner at Next Consult Plc.

This license, issued on February 12, 2026, elevates the total count of licensed service providers in the capital market to 16, with two securities dealers now actively operating nationwide.
