A 45Km road that connects Girja Wereda and Adola-Shakiso in Guji Zone, Oromia Regional State has been completed after an eight-year delay. The delay was due to poor performance by the original contractor and a lack of good governance, according to Habtamu Itefa (PhD), director of the Regional State’s Roads Authority. The project has consumed a total of 268 million Br. The road connects 10 rural kebeles and three weredas, according to Negash Bulala, director of the Zone’s Roads Authority.
