Binalf Andualem, minister of Peace, told an interviewer from Walta Addis TV that launching a military operation to reclaim territory from Sudan in the contested Alfashag area is morally unacceptable while Sudan is going through internal civil strife. The area, long a point of contention between Ethiopia and Sudan, has been under the control of the Sudanese army for the past four years, following the onset of the civil war in northern Ethiopia.
