An agreement signed last week between Ethio telecom and the Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) allows manufacturers in industrial parks to sell their products through ZemenGebeya. The deal enables manufacturers to offer export-standard products to domestic consumers for the first time, improving market reach and reducing operational costs. Launched in May 2025, ZemenGebeya has recorded over 21 million visits and 70,000 orders, with more than 460 active merchants. IPDC oversees eleven Special Economic Zones and two industrial parks across the country.
