Hosanna City Initiates Project to Improve Sanitation Infrastructure

Hosanna City has initiated a comprehensive sanitation project valued at over 534 million Br, focused on enhancing hygiene standards, modernising infrastructure, and mitigating water-related health risks. The project was officially launched by Central Ethiopia Regional President Dr. Endashaw Tasew and Water and Energy Minister Dr. Habtamu Itefa. Funding is provided by the Italian government in collaboration with regional contributions. Under the oversight of the Ministry of Water and Energy, the initiative is set to improve environmental health, transform Hosanna into a clean and sustainable urban centre, and generate employment opportunities for local youth. Officials have committed to ensuring the project's timely completion and delivering long-term benefits to residents. This endeavour represents a significant advancement in Ethiopia’s broader goals for urban sanitation and development.
