The former Ministry of Industry building, which once stood facing Meskel Square near the stadium, has now been reduced to ashes. Established during the Derg regime, its lower levels once housed souvenirs and antiques for sale. Today, only its foundation bricks remain, serving as souvenirs themselves, reminding us of what once stood there, a graceful piece of architecture that quietly witnessed three regimes, taking with it all that it had observed.
