EIH Sets Stage for Integrated Farming Development

Ethiopian Investment Holdings (EIH) and its subsidiary Ethiopian Agricultural Business Corporation (EABC), and Asset Green have finalized a Shareholders Agreement (SHA) to jointly develop an integrated dairy and commercial farming project. The deal, valued at approximately USD 600 million, will be executed in two phases with the first developing a dairy farming and processing operation on 15,000hct alongside integrated feed farming to secure a sustainable supply chain. The second phase will expand to include cotton, oilseed, and rice farming, with the addition of advanced processing facilities and an out-growers support centre. The SHA was signed by Brook Taye (PhD), CEO of EIH, Kifle Woldemariam, CEO of EABC, and Afshin Afsharnejad, CEO and Chairman of Asset Green, in a ceremony attended by Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh and UK Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner.
