Fed, Regional Governments Reshuffle Officials

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) appointed Ahmed Tussa, former CEO of the Ethiopian Shipping & Logistics Services Enterprise, as director-general of Metals & Engineering Corporation (MetEC). Ahmed was appointed to the Corporation in charge of the industry sector. Along with him, Prime Minister Abiy appointed two more federal officials, effective from November 28, 2019. Alemu Seme (PhD), who was the head of the Oromia Water, Mines & Energy Bureau, was appointed as a sector coordinator for the Democracy Process Development Coordination Centre with the rank of minister. The Oromia Regional State Government also re-shuffled six individuals to different positions. Addisu Arega, who has been serving as head of the ODP's Rural Organisation & Political Department Bureau, was named as a coordinator of social sector with the rank of deputy chief administrator. Chaltu Sani was appointed as a coordinator of the economic sector with the rank of deputy chief administrator, while Kassahun Gofe and Fekadu Tessema were named as head of Oromia Revenues Authority and head of ODP's Party Secretarial Office, respectively. Sadat Nesha and Abera Worku also become head of urban political mobilisation at the office of Oromia’s Democratic Party and head of rural political mobilization at the Party, respectively.
