Innovation Ministry to Launch 150 E-services

The Ministry of Innovation & Technology is set to launch 150 electronic public services in the coming six months. The services are part of the planned 320 online services to be launched by next year, according to Getahun Mekuria (PhD), minister for Innovation & Technology. Getahun confirmed that the Ministry is working hard to make all public services in the country available online. Currently, six institutions, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, have already started the service. In November of last year, the Ministry of Innovation & Technology signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Public Procurement & Property Administration Agency to implement electronic government procurement to alleviate manual processing of tenders and improve the overall services of the Agency in general.
