Sandokan Debebe, a chief of staff to the Prime Minister, has been appointed as commissioner of the Ethiopian Nuclear Energy Commission.
A doctoral candidate at Addis Abeba University, Sandokan holds two postgraduate degrees in food science and human nutrition and business administration. He previously served as CEO of the Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC), director of the Ethiopian Intellectual Property Office, and head of the Science & Technology Information Centre. He has also been a board member at Ethio telecom and a lecturer at the Addis Abeba Science & Technology Information Centre.
