Little, Bank of Abyssinia, Visa Launch Contactless Payments

Little, in partnership with Bank of Abyssinia(BoA) and Visa, has unveiled 'Tap to Go', a contactless payment feature designed for international Visa cardholders using ride-hailing services. The service lets passengers pay by simply tapping their Visa card on the driver’s phone, removing the need for cash or manual card entry. Currently available only to holders of international Visa cards, it promises a fast, secure, and convenient option for foreign travelers navigating the city. At the launch, Little’s Country Manager, Barouk Almaw, noted the company’s focus on enhancing urban mobility through technology. “This collaboration marks a new chapter in providing seamless, transparent, and secure mobility solutions for our customers,” he said. The initiative underscores the country's growing momentum in digital payments, particularly within transport and tourism. By leveraging Visa’s global infrastructure alongside local mobility services, 'Tap to Go' seeks to simplify urban travel for international visitors. Little expressed appreciation to its partners and encouraged community engagement as it continues innovating in mobility and payments. For tourists in the capital, paying for a ride has just become as simple as a tap.
