Agri Value Chain Dev't Receives South Korean Support

Ongoing work on landscape restoration and promoting climate-resilient projects in Ethiopia has received 12 million dollars of support from the Korean government. However, almost one-third of the 32-million-dollar grant Korea bestowed goes to improving rural agricultural value chains. Yasmin Woharebbi, state minister for Finance, signed a memorandum of understanding with Kim Dong Ho, representing the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KICA), last week. The grant will be disbursed across five years beginning this year. The three financial support areas also include 10 million dollars allotted for the Master Plan Development projects in Addis Abeba, with part of the funding going toward developing riversides.
