Medical Entrepreneurs Victorious in Tech Competition

A year-long competition challenging skills such as pitching business ideas, interpersonal communication and impactful mentoring was completed last week. Dashen Bank has rewarded a one million Birr prize split among the top four during the event held at I-Cog lab premises on Namibia Street (Bole Medhanealem). Solve It was launched five years ago to stimulate technology entrepreneurship across different cities, aiming to empower local youth to devise innovative solutions to problems in their immediate surrounding. Bethelem Dessie, a tech personality behind 'Any One Can Code', congratulated the winners Debora Sintayehu and Alebachew Alemanew who developed a bone infection detection and therapeutic machine. The competition was organised in partnership with the US Embassy to highlight innovative ideas and create successful companies by providing access to finance and mentorship.
