Tripartite Sign Deals to Expand Soybean Value Chain

Ethiopian Trading & Business Corporation (ETBC), Soy Afric Ltd., and Kazana Group have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to improve soybean production, processing, and export from Ethiopia. The three partners are actively involved in agriculture and soybean production. The Corporation is known for its work with smallholder farmers, while Soy Afric Ltd has been producing soybeans for a decade, and Kazana Group brings expertise in investment capital. The MoU is intended to strengthen the soybean value chain, helping farmers get their products to market and enabling them to gain more value from their production. The agreement, announced in a joint statement last week, is expected to support smallholder farmers, contribute to food security, create jobs, and promote rural development. The organisations have noted their plan to introduce resilience and innovation at every stage of the soybean value chain.
