Flavia Mwangovya, Amnesty International's deputy regional director for East and Southern Africa, said this last week, after weeks of Ethiopian authorities' blocking access to selected social media platforms, including Facebook, Telegram, Tik Tok and YouTube. She criticised the blockade as a clear violation of "citizens' rights to freedom of expression and access to information."
