Oumer Hussien Oba, minister of Agriculture, said to a speech by David Beasley, executive director of the World Food Programme (WFP), who stated that there are currently 41 million people worldwide on the brink of famine but funding is lacking to support them. Beasley said this at the United Nation's Food Systems Pre-Summit held in Rome, Italy.
