Nestlé, the global food and beverages company, has introduced its Cerelac baby food brand to the Ethiopian market. The products are now available in two flavours: Cerelac Wheat and Cerelac Banana, both of which are available at wholesalers, supermarkets, pharmacies and hospitals at the price of 120 Br. Cerelac is intended for infants six months or older and contains nutrients like vitamins A, B, C, Iron, Iodine, and Omega-3 fatty acids. Earlier in December, Nestlé launched its waste management programme to tackle plastic pollution in Ethiopia in partnership with a local sustainability consultant. The company aims to achieve plastic neutrality through collecting and processing an amount of plastic equivalent to that contained in its products sold in the country. Nestlé Ethiopia was established in 2006 in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia. It serves as the headquarters of Nestlé Horn of Africa Cluster.
