The piñata game, where a blindfolded person attempts to strike a colourful container with candy inside of it, is not confined to Mexico or the countries it was imported to. In Ethiopia, it is part of the Timkit holiday. But this time, the players try to hit it with a stick, a gebena, a coffee pot made of clay, as is displayed here during the Timkit celebration in Janmeda on Russia Street last week.
