Girma Siefu, an opposition figure with the Ethiopian Citizens for Social Justice (ECSJ), who also serves as a senior official in the Addis Abeba City Administration, told the state-owned Gazette Plus, that political parties that do not advocate Ethiopia’s access to the sea should be stripped of their legal status. He argued that any political party whose platform omits such goal should be deregistered.
