The gross profit in Birr posted by the Ethiopian Petroleum Supply Enterprise (EPSE) for its operation year ended June 2023. The Enterprise had 271.08 billion Br in revenues during the year, making the profit margin extremely low. For businesses with such large-scale operations, the gross profit margin would be expected to be much higher than the 0.44pc the Enterprise reported.
