Some pedestrian walkways around Addis Abeba are growing smaller by the day, thinning out public space. On the right of this one in Haya Hulet, near Golagol Building, are shops, mostly displaying clothes, taking a quarter of the walkway out of use. On the left are signs, waste disposal bins and even trees that leave limited space for pedestrians than what walkways generally signify.
