The Ethiopian Shipping & Logistics Services (ESLS) has allocated a budget of 510 million Br for the design and construction of internal roads and the container terminal at Qaliti Port. The company has agreed with the Ethiopian Engineering Corporation (EEC) to construct the dry port and terminal facility in Quality, in the capital's outskirts, to meet international standards. The contract was formalised last week at Qaliti Port & Terminal by Beriso Amelo (PhD), ESLS CEO, and Shimelis Eshetu, CEO of the engineering corporation. Currently, the Qaliti terminal confronts substantial constraints, including dusty conditions during the summer and muddy terrain in the winter, which create hardships for both port workers and customers. The CEO of the shipping and logistics company disclosed that the project is expected to be completed on schedule, thus creating a comfortable working environment for employees, customers, and stakeholders. According to ESLS, the project will be finalised within 180 days.
