Shabelle Bank Assets Climb 55pc in Unaudited Results

Shabelle Bank S.C. reported a 1,055pc surge in pre-tax profit to 231 million Br, according to its unaudited financial results. Total assets rose 55pc year-on-year to 9.7 billion Br by the end of the reporting period. Customer deposits more than doubled to 4.7 billion Br, while the financing portfolio grew 101pc to 3.5 billion Br. Annual credit disbursements climbed to 2.5 billion Br. Operational income increased 66pc to 941 million Br. The bank also reported 425,693 customer accounts and 1.7 million digital wallet accounts. The Board of Directors endorsed priorities for the 2026-2027 fiscal year, focusing on customer growth, digital transformation, operational efficiency and governance as the bank pursues further expansion.
