A bus stop around the Stadium area has been stripped of its protective adornments as the area undergoes renovations. The national football ground was built nearly seven decades ago and has been undergoing renovations after the Confederation of African Football I (CAF) imposed a three-year ban from hosting international competitions. A 39 million Br agreement between the Ministry of Culture & Sports and a local contracting company failed to meet the deadline for renovations last year, pushing the schedule to early 2024.
