Four Law Firms Merge to Launch Taza Legal

Four Ethiopian legal practices have merged to establish Taza Legal LLP, creating one of the country's largest independent full-service law firms amid rising demand for sophisticated legal services. Launched on June 25 in Addis Abeba, the firm brings together Tameru Wondim Agegnehu & Partners, Mesfin Tafesse & Associates Law Office, Mekdes & Associates, and Hanna Mulugeta Law Office. Taza Legal begins operations with seven partners and more than 20 professionals, providing services in corporate and commercial law, banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, energy, infrastructure, mining, tax, and dispute resolution. Managing Partner Mesfin Tafesse said the merger aims to build an enduring institution delivering internationally benchmarked legal services while developing the next generation of Ethiopian lawyers. As Ethiopia's member of the African Legal Network, the firm will also connect clients with legal expertise across 15 African markets.
