EthSwich Launches EthioPay, Unified Digital Payment Platform

EthSwich has unveiled EthioPay, a national digital payment platform designed to unify all payment services under a single, secure, and accessible channel. Developed over two years at a cost of 10 million dollars, with 20 million dollars invested in infrastructure, EthioPay enables instant digital payments, transfers, and a trusted single-brand ecosystem for users and financial institutions. The platform offers financial service providers a shared, multi-functional digital infrastructure to improve efficiency and interoperability. Solomon Desta, vice governor of the National Bank of Ethiopia, said EthioPay simplifies payment acceptance, builds public trust, and allows service access across participating institutions. CEO Yilebes Addis urged all financial institutions to integrate EthioPay accounts into their systems as a core element of customer transactions.
