Board Maps out Polling Stations

The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) disclosed a directory of the 49,407 designated polling stations across all regions of the country with the exception of Tigray Regional State. The Board also disclosed that it has begun distributing election materials and equipment to the polling stations last week. This is expected to be finalised in three rounds. Election Board Excludes Tigray State in Schedule

The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), which proposed June 5, 2021, as the sixth national election's polling date, has left Tigray Regional State out of the schedule. During the announcement of the new schedule last week, the Board disclosed that it plans to open 45,000 polling stations across the country between December 25 and January 24. The training of poll workers is expected to take place between February 1 and February 28, while voter registration is planned to occur from the end of March to April 9. Electoral Board Reveals Election Map

The National Election Board of Ethiopia unveiled a map showing where the polling stations will be located for the upcoming general election to be held on August 29, 2020. It is the first time such a map has been drawn in Ethiopian election history.
