On September 18, 2025, the Addis Abeba City Administration Finance Bureau launched the Service Delivery Coordination Assembly to address gaps between government institutions and the public. Deputy Mayor and Finance Bureau Head Abdulqadir Redwan called it a critical bridge for resolving service delivery challenges and stressed the need for meaningful user participation and a clear operational framework. Ashenafi Tadesse, Director of Reform and Good Governance, said the assembly aims to enhance service delivery by empowering stakeholders and service users through structured engagement. The 50-member body includes service users, civil society organisations, stakeholders, and bureau officials, with seven executive members elected to lead its activities.
