The area around Piassa, which used to house sunglasses vendors appears void as it juxtaposes the Mayor's Office in its horizon. A sustained campaign has been launched in the capital and neighbouring cities to remove all property that is not built with the government's approval. The aesthetic appeal of the city has been one of the main priorities of the Mayor's Office which announced this week the construction of a park sitting on 14.5hct near Bole airport dubbed the 'Window of Africa'. A satellite city project headed by the Prime Minister reportedly costing 600 billion Br is also under construction in the Yeka mountains.
