Ashley, Yusra Partner with Arada Mall for Furniture Showroom

World-leading home furnishings manufacturer Ashley Industries Plc who has been in partnership with Yusra Homes signs to open a flagship showroom at the Arada Mall project in Addis Abeba. The signing ceremony was attended by U.S. Ambassador Ervin Massinga and senior executives from both companies. Ashley Furniture, an American brand with more than 20,000 retail outlets across 155 countries and a global workforce of about 35,000, will enter the Ethiopian market through an exclusive retail partnership with Yusra Homes, a furniture importer. The showroom will be located inside Arada Mall, currently under construction in the Piassa area opposite the Adwa Museum. Promoted as first international-standard mall, the project has attracted global professionals during construction and plans to host international businesses once operational. Project costs have exceeded one billion Birr, with all commercial spaces reportedly leased ahead of completion. Commercial space allocation assigns 48pc to international businesses and 52pc to local companies. The mall is designed to host a broad mix of retail, service, and commercial facilities under one roof. Government service offices will also be housed in the complex, with further agreements expected to be announced.
