Berhanu Nega (Prof), minister of Education, told attendees of the 20th Ethiopian Economics Association (EEA) conference held on July 21, 2023. He urged an effort to simulate "original ideas" for social organisation needed to emerge from Ethiopian intellectuals. He claimed a mere concession to the ideological persuasions of the West was no longer an option.
