The Ethiopian Microfinance Association is set to host a three-day international event bringing together participants from across the globe. The announcement came during a media briefing at Capital Hotel, organised by the Ethiopian Microfinance Institutions Association (AEMFI). Officials said more than 500 guests are expected to attend. Teshome Kebede, CEO of AEMFI, said the conference will gather policymakers, regulators, microfinance institutions (MFIs), and technology providers to promote an enabling environment for inclusive and sustainable growth. He added that the event will serve as a collaborative platform to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and showcase innovations that promote resilient development. Through country case studies, participants will explore practical lessons in digital microfinance, gender finance, and climate resilience. The conference aims to foster scalable solutions that advance financial inclusion and long-term sustainability.
