PM Abiy to Attend Economic Forum in Beijing

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) will be travelling to Beijing, China next week to participate in the second Belt & Road Forum for International Cooperation.

The Forum will be held for two days starting April 26, 2019. Prime Minister Abiy will be among the 40 heads of state and governments to attend the Forum.

Back in 2017 former Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn attended the first Forum.

This year's theme is "Belt and Road Cooperation: Shaping a Brighter Shared Future." The Forum will feature an opening ceremony, a leaders' roundtable, a high-level meeting, thematic forums, a CEO conference and other side events.
