Parliament Passes a 1.9T Br Budget Bill, Unanimously

The federal legislative house has unanimously approved a 1.9 trillion Br budget bill for the 2025/26 fiscal year. This budget anticipates 1.2 trillion Br in funding from domestic revenues, with over 90pc derived solely from tax collections.

The remaining financial requirements will be met through external assistance, grants, and the issuance of government treasury bonds.
