Coffee exports from Ethiopia over the past eight months have registered drops both in value and volume, earning the nation 59 million dollars lower than the same period the previous year.
The country has earned a total of 423 million dollars, exporting 130,472tns of coffee, a performance of 77.5pc from what has been targeted at the start of the fiscal year 2018/19. Neither has the latest performance from the month of February this year seen a hopeful sign.
The exported volume of coffee registered a decline of 408tns, bringing revenue of 73.3 million dollars, nearly five percent less than the same month of the previous year.
