MTN and the Global Partnership for Ethiopia, a consortium of Vodafone, Vodacom and Safaricom, have submitted their bids for full telecom licenses, confirmed the Ethiopian Communications Authority (ECA).
The companies submitted their bids to the Authority after it issued a request for proposal earlier this year.
A National Evaluation Committee comprising members from the Ministry of Finance, the ECA, and other government offices will now handle the technical and financial evaluations, which are expected to be finalised by mid-May.
