Fire Engulfs Ground Floor of Central Bank HQs

A fire has broken out at the new headquarters of the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) located on Sudan Avenue.

The fire broke out on the ground floor of the building around 3:00 pm, and a team from the Addis Abeba Fire, Emergency Prevention & Rescue Agency arrived after 20 minutes of the accident.

The Agency has deployed four firefighting trucks and an ambulance. The roads to the Bank have been closed by the city and federal police, according to sources.
