Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) appointed Endalkachew Sime, the former secretary-general of the national chamber, as deputy commissioner of the National Planning & Development Commission.
Endalkachew assumed the post as of yesterday, March 4, 2020, replacing Getachew Adem, who has decided to pursue his doctoral studies.
Endalkachew, who worked at the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce & Sectoral Associations, has been working as a senior advisor at the Commission for the past couple of months. Prior to taking up the advisor post at the Commission, he spent eight years at the national chamber.
Having studied agricultural economics, Endalkachew spent much of his professional life working for the private sector, with the national chamber and for the sectoral associations system.
