Yewondwosen Eteffa, married and a father of one, graduated from Addis Abeba University with a bachelor of arts in business management. He has the professional designation of DIP CII from the Chartered Insurance Institute in the United Kingdom. He has been in the insurance industry for more than 35 years working in different capacities at the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) and as CEO of Ethiopian Insurance Corporation (EIC) for seven years. He served NBE for 22 years as manager of the Insurance Supervision Department before joining EIC. Yewondwosen became the CEO at Ethiopian Reinsurance four years ago.
