The Accounting & Auditing Board of Ethiopia (AABE) has appointed Wubishet Tadele as Director General, marking a leadership transition at the federal regulator responsible for financial reporting and auditing standards. For over a year, the Board operated under acting leadership, with Fekadu Agonafir steering the institution through a period focused on sustaining its core mandate, regulating the profession and enforcing reporting standards. Wubishet assumes the role with a background in public service. He previously served as Deputy Director at the Education & Training Authority (ETA), where his work centred on administrative and regulatory functions tied to fiscal oversight.
